FEEDBACK

Bespoke calligraphy prints include up to 2 rounds of proofing and changes. Any further rounds of feedback will incur my hourly rate of £45.

PROOFING

It is essential that you thoroughly check your proofs for the correct spelling of all words, in addition to the design elements. Once final approval for the Final Proof is received, you are permitting the Calligrapher to calligraph all pieces as they appear on your Final Proof. Once approved, no changes can be made, and the Calligrapher will not be held responsible for any errors found after your approval. If rewrites are needed, we will add it to your final invoice along with a £40 setup fee.

ADDRESS LISTS

Please take the time to check all spelling and etiquette thoroughly. Layout your address lists centred as this helps the Calligrapher centre and design the envelopes as correctly as the Calligrapher can. An hourly rate may occur for any time spent reformatting your addresses.

GUEST LISTS AND WEDDING DAY DETAILS

It is the Client’s responsibility to provide spell-checked guest lists, content and material (if applicable) for all Wedding day details by the deadline given to the Client.

EXTRA MATERIALS AND NON-PAPER MATERIALS

If the Client is providing the materials, the Calligrapher asks that they provide 20% extra materials. I am only human, and ink splatters do happen. If the Calligrapher is writing on items such as agate, shells, wood, marble or any other organic matter, you can think these items must be provided to the Calligrapher cleaned and ready to write on.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT

For projects valued more than £150, all contracts require 50% pay for the project cost before work can begin. Your initial deposit is due upon acceptance of the Agreement. The Client must pay the remaining 50% once the design is approved. After this, the items are executed and shipped to you. The Calligrapher will total all shipping costs onto your final invoice. If the Client product is needed quickly, the Calligrapher will add a rush shipping fee on the final invoice. Billing will reflect the actual costs incurred. Valid for only 30 days from the date on estimate. The Calligrapher will bill additional changes requested by the Client. The Calligrapher will notify the Client of any price changes, and any remaining balance will be due at the time of completion.

All contracts valued under £150 will be required to pay 100% of the project cost before work can begin.

CALLIGRAPHY AND THE POST

As with any mass mailing, you are likely to have 1-3% of your pieces undeliverable. Please check your address list carefully to ensure all your addresses are correct to minimise this effect. The Stationer is not responsible for resending, reprinting or reimbursing for invitations or addresses that do not make it to their intended address.

 DELIVERY.

The Calligrapher uses Royal Mail Standard First Class Delivery and Royal Mail Next Day guaranteed by 1 pm and the latter is tracked and insured for delivering all large orders. The Calligrapher will add all delivery fees to the final invoice. If you are local collection is welcome but must be pre-arranged. The Calligrapher accepts no responsibility for items lost in the post or delayed due to circumstances out of our control. For international deliveries, the Calligrapher will source the best form of postage. Please note that goods posted outside the UK may be subject to local customs charges. The Calligrapher accepts no responsibility for delays in shipping or duty charges.

COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP

Unless purchased by the Client, the Calligrapher owns all copyrights in any work(s) it creates or produces according to any applicable laws of the United Kingdom and the European Union (as appropriate). Including but not limited to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended from time to time), whether registered or unregistered. All tangible or intangible products, created in connection with, or in the process of fulfilling this Agreement, are expressly and solely owned by the Calligrapher. The Client may use everything that the Calligrapher creates in the reasonable course of fulfilling this Agreement in the future. The Client may ship, display, and enjoy the work(s) Calligrapher makes for the Client, but the Client may not alter or sell all or part of these work(s) under any circumstances. For example, the Client may not hire a Calligrapher to create wedding invitation suites and use any of the artwork on the suites on additional artwork or stationery, such as menus, sandwich boards, guest charts or other work(s). If Calligrapher’s work is misappropriated, Client understands and accepts that Client will be invoiced for these additional work(s).

RELEASE

The Client has spent a satisfactory amount of time reviewing Calligrapher’s work or past client reviews and has a reasonable expectation that Calligrapher’s Services will produce a similar outcome and result for the Client. The Calligrapher will use reasonable endeavours to ensure the Client’s services are carried out in a style and manner consistent with Calligrapher’s current portfolio and services, and the Calligrapher will try to incorporate any suggestions the Client makes. However, the Client understands and agrees that:

·        Every Client and final delivery are different, with different tastes, budgets, and needs;

·        Calligraphy is a personalised service and Calligrapher is a provider with a unique vision, with an ever-evolving style and technique.

·        The Calligrapher will use its judgment to create favourable results for the Client, which may not include strict adherence to the Client’s suggestions.

·        Dissatisfaction with Calligrapher’s independent judgment or individual management style is not a valid reason for termination of this Agreement or request of any monies returned.

·        Printing can result in small variations. Minor differences in texture, colour, size, and positioning can sometimes occur and are not classed as a fault. Please be aware that colours appear differently on screens than on paper.

CANCELLATIONS

The Agreement will continue until Calligrapher delivers the final Services, and the Client’s balance is paid in full. If Client desires, implicitly or explicitly, to cancel Services for any reason before either of these events, it is within Calligrapher’s discretion to grant a partial or full refund. Still, the Calligrapher is not obligated to do so. The Calligrapher decision will be based on the amount of work completed. The Client agrees to accept the Calligrapher’s reasonable faith estimate of how much work has been completed. Suppose the Calligrapher attempts to contact the Client three or more times in a month and is not successful in receiving a meaningful response. In that case, this is considered an unreasonable delay. Upon cancellation or unreasonable delay, all outstanding fees are immediately due and payable to Calligrapher. In the unlikely event, that the Calligrapher cancels the order; the Client will receive a full refund.
